The rosa care approach

A person.
A story.
Our full attention.

Behind every need is a person, a life story and a way of living. We aim to build your support with you, respecting your privacy and your freedom to choose.

01

Listen before acting

Understand your expectations and routines before planning your support.

02

Respect your choices

Protect your independence and involve you in every decision.

03

Move forward together

Help you, your loved ones and the professionals involved communicate clearly.

Your first step

It all starts
with a conversation.

A simple way to explore the support that is right for you.

  1. 1

    An initial conversation

Tell us about your situation, your wishes and your questions.

  2. 2

    Understanding your needs

Together, we prepare to assess the support and care you need.

  3. 3

    Clear arrangements

We explain the care arrangements before you make any commitment.

  4. 4

    Support that adapts

Your support evolves with your situation and wishes.

For you and your loved ones

You matter.
So do your loved ones.

Supporting someone also means understanding the people around them. We want to give loved ones space to talk, while keeping the choices of the person receiving care at the centre.

Long-term care insurance in Luxembourg

Clearer steps.
Greater peace of mind.

Long-term care insurance may contribute towards certain support and care services, depending on the applicable conditions and an assessment of your situation.

01

Prepare your application

The application includes your form and the R20 medical report, which your doctor completes.

02

Send the application to the CNS

Both parts go to the National Health Fund (CNS), which forwards the file to the AEC.

03

Have your needs assessed

The Administration d’évaluation et de contrôle (AEC) assesses dependency and the support and care needs.

Billing made simple

Who pays for what?
It all becomes clearer.

Nursing care, support for dependency and private services follow different rules. Explore these situations to understand how payment works, without confusing reimbursement with free services.

Nursing care · usual case

The CNS pays its share. You pay the rest.

For an adult in the usual situation, covered nursing services are reimbursed at 88% of the tariff set out in the official schedule. With direct payment, the CNS pays this share to the professional. On an illustrative basis of €100, €12 remains payable by the person.

  1. A prescription and care that meets the coverage conditions.
  2. The professional bills for the services provided under the applicable rules.
  3. The CNS pays its share; you pay your remaining share and any costs that are not covered.

The rate applies to the tariff provided for by CNS rules, not to any amount that may be billed.

Educational example · not a quotation
Illustrative tariff basis100 €

The €100 is used only to illustrate the calculation. It is neither a real bill nor a rosa care price. Entitlements, conditions and non-reimbursed costs must be checked for each situation.

How does the payment move?

01

With direct payment

The CNS pays its share directly to the professional. You pay only the amount that remains your responsibility.

02

If you pay upfront

You pay the bill, then send the paid invoice and the prescription to your competent health insurance fund to request reimbursement under the applicable rules.

03

If a carer is recognised

A cash benefit may be paid to the dependent person according to their entitlements. It is not automatically a salary paid directly to the carer by the CNS.

Reading a statement

One bill, four things to check.

Select an item to understand what to look for. A statement must be read alongside your entitlements and the services actually provided.

Dates and services

Check the period, the dates of visits, the type of care and the quantities. A service code refers to a service in the official schedule.

Before paying, you can ask…

  • Which care or service does this item relate to?
  • What share is covered, and on which tariff basis?
  • Has a payment already been deducted?
  • Were these additional costs explained to me?
